South West Norway

The Kolbeinstveit rural museum has numerous water sluices diverted from the falls that were once used to run the various mills on the property. It is amazing to imagine the people living and working here on this old farm. We love the way they grow grasses on the roofs of buildings which we presume helps insulate them and protect them from the weather.
